About Dr. Susan Hood
Over 27 years of experience, professionalism, and compassion.
Dr. Hood believes in the benefits of having an unbiased, supportive voice in the lives of those going through personal, internal struggles. Often times, friends and family lack the proper knowledge to help get through the mental walls many people grapple with. Taking the leap and participating in professional therapy can lead to many benefits, not limited to: improving your mood, reducing your stress or anxiety, resolving long or short-term conflicts, building self-worth, learning healthy coping strategies, and leading a more fulfilling life.
Toting a B.A. in Psychology from UC San Diego, an M.A. in Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Psychology both from Alliant International University (formerly California School of Professional Psychology), Dr. Hood has been licensed by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners since 1996. She specializes in helping individuals work through:
